2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and authentication identifiers (for example from GitHub sign-in).
- House content — documents, configuration, and messages you store or generate in your House.
- Usage data — logs of platform activity, API usage, credit consumption, and diagnostic events needed to operate and bill the service.
- Billing data — subscription status, transaction references, and amounts processed by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Support communications — emails or messages you send us.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and similar metadata in server logs.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, secure, and maintain the House of Ur platform.
- Authenticate users and manage Houses and subscriptions.
- Meter usage, apply Shekel credits, and enforce plan limits.
- Send service-related notices (for example billing issues or security alerts).
- Respond to support requests and improve the product.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
4. Payment processing
Checkout and subscriptions are processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle collects payment and billing details according to its own privacy policy. We receive limited billing metadata (for example customer ID, subscription status, and transaction amounts) to provision your account.
5. Third-party providers
To run the service we use infrastructure and API providers (for example cloud hosting, email delivery, AI model routing, and web search). Those providers process data on our instructions only as needed to perform the service. We choose providers with appropriate security practices.
6. Storage and retention
Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure, primarily in the United States. We retain information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, billing records, and legal compliance, then delete or anonymise it where we no longer need it.
7. Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information:
- To service providers who assist us under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where practicable).
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and separation between customer Houses. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at support@house-of-ur.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
10. Children
House of Ur is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International users
If you access the service from outside Australia, you agree that your information may be processed in Australia and other countries where we or our providers operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy by posting a revised version on this page. Material changes will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date.
